Description	Pictured here are four of the seven principals/presidents of Miner Normal School/Miner Teachers College. These individuals provided day to day leadership of the school from 1851 to 1951. The seven principals/presidents were: 1) Myrtilla Miner (1851-1860), 2) Mary P. Smith (1876-1879), 3) Martha Briggs (1879-1883), 4) Lucy Moten (1883-1920), 5) Eugene A. Clark (1921-1926, and, 1930-1953), 6) J. Arthur Turner (1926-1930). and 7) Matthew Whitehead (1953-1955).
