Miner Teachers College -- Fraternities and Soroities
Prior to 1934, the DC Board of Education did not sanction Fraternities and Sororities. Mrs. Mary McNeil, a sympathetic Board member, was instrumental in the Board’s decision to allow Miner to have sororities and fraternities.
The bulletin of Atlanta University was a publication sent to faculty, friends and alumni of the institution; Telling of the institution's progress and present needs. This issue is January, 1888 no. 4.
At a board's meeting held on July 1, 1904, Dr. Crogman was elected president of, the first black president of the University. He served as president until June 1910.
