Fire Destroyed Haygood Hall On August 3, 1968. Completed In 1899, The Building Was One Of The Historic Landmarks of the Augusta Community. A Valuable Collection Of African Artifacts Housed In The Building Was Destroyed.
Warren A. Candler Memorial Library, Named In Memory Of Bishop Warren Akin Candler, Remained The Main Library Until The New Collins-Callaway Library Was Completed In 1991. Candler Houses The Education Department And Admissions Office.
