Wilhemina Hamlin was a native of Petersburg, Va. She had a B.S. degree in Education from Columbia University. She held a number of positions at Virginia State University and was considered one the finest instructors of education in Virginia.
John Leon Lockett earned a B.S. and M.S. in Agronomy from the Iowa State College in 1923. In 1928, Mr. Lockett became the Director of Agricultural Division and Professor of Agronomy.
